ATSNJ 2022 Executive Council Election

Election Winners

The Athletic Trainers' Society of New Jersey (ATSNJ) held their 2022 Executive Council Election in November of 2022. Results of the 2022 Election were released on 12/1/2022. Steve Barandica was elected President-Elect, Kate Zimmerman was elected Treasurer, and Scott Royer was elected Central Representative.

“Congratulations to our newest members of the executive council who will be taking over at the business meeting in March at our annual meeting. Over the next few months they will spend time with the current members getting on-boarded and preparing for their new adventure,” said Jessica Springstead, President of the Athletic Trainers’ Society of New Jersey, Inc.

Steve Barandica currently works at Westfield High School as an athletic trainer. He ran unopposed for the position of President-Elect and will have a vote of affirmation at the ATSNJ business meeting in March 2023. Steve currently serves as the ATSNJ Treasurer & Corporate Sponsorship Chair; he is also a member of the Fun Run Committee, ATs Care Committee, Secondary School Committee, Conference Committee & Golf Committee.

Kate Zimmerman currently works at Ocean Township High School as Head Athletic Trainer and Intro to Sports Medicine Teacher. She defeated Jacob McCartney in the election for Treasurer. Kate currently serves as the Central Representative, Young Professionals Chair, and as a member of several other committees for the Athletic Trainers Society of New Jersey.

Scott Royer currently works at Freehold Boro High School as an athletic trainer. He defeated Sara O’Dell and Anais Mixson in the election for Central Representative.
