Michael Goldenberg has an extensive background in athletic training. He has presented multiple topics at the state, eastern and national levels. Michael has held many committee positions in New Jersey and within the NATA, including Public Relations, Convention, Sponsorship and Professional Education.

Most notably, Michael is the person credited with bringing the ATSNJ, the EATA, and District Two of the NATA into the electronic age. He is responsible for creating and maintaining web sites for all of these athletic training organizations, and also created and served as chairman of the NATA's first Webmasters’ Committee. Michael's technology skills are directly responsible for many successful projects on both the state and national levels.

Michael is also a recognized author and leader in the profession. He has been published in the Journal of Applied Physiology and the Journal of Athletic Training, and has performed research on the national level in the areas of wound care and head injuries in women's lacrosse.

Michael has served as Secretary on both the ATSNJ and NATA District Two Executive Boards. In 2001, Michael was the recipient of the Distinguished Service Award for both the ATSNJ and the EATA, and in 2002 he was awarded the NATA's Distinguished Service Award. Additionally, The Lawrenceville School where Michael served as Head Athletic Trainer for fifteen years, honored him by creating the endowed Michael S. Goldenberg Student Athletic Training Award to recognize excellence in its student assistants.
