ATSNJ Education Meeting Focuses on Sport Safety Issues

A panel of medical experts in the field of sports safety presented the latest scientific evidence, at the Athletic Trainers’ Society of New Jersey (ATSNJ) 26th Educational Conference in Plainsboro. The ATSNJ held the conference as a means to educate physicians, nurses, athletic trainers and health care providers who play a role in keeping athletes safe. Over 200 health care providers attended this event which was held on February 25th and 26th.Among the topics discussed by the panel, included preventing sudden death in athletes, psychological implications of sports emergencies or crises, heat related issues and acclimatization, and injury prevention and rehabilitation techniques.  Eric Nusbaum, the ATSNJ President highlighted the accomplishments of the ATSNJ in striving for continued improvements in sports safety during the past year and challenged medical professionals in attendance to make a difference every day.For more information on each of these topics visit:
